Jimmie Trotter was born in San Antonio, Texas. Her love of art began at a young age, and she is mostly self-taught in a wide variety of styles and techniques.
The primary focus of her comissioned work is on fine art pet portraiture. She enjoys painting both traditional pet portraits, as well as stylized, 'pop art' pet portraits.
She especially loves dogs, and has cared for over a half-dozen in her lifetime - terriers, bichons, shepherds, and all around mutts!
You can rest assured that a commission pet portrait from Jimmie will be true to the life and spirit of your pet. She understands that pets, to many of us, are just like members of the family!

Jimmie is an active participant in her local arts community. She is a past member of The Pastel Society of the Southwest, and a present member of NETFAA (Northeast Texas Fine Art Alliance).
She has attended workshops taught by some wonderful artists, such as Carol Katchen, Bob Rohm, Kay Polk and Steve Grey.
